I have been a national tourist guide for 30 years but I got tired of "living in a car" and always going from one place to the other. This is why I finally came to settle down in Polonnaruwa. My wife loves to cook and is doing the cooking for the guests. Guests who come to our house must love the nature and the natural surroundings (birds, monkey's). In our garden we have 3 bungalows in local style (clay huts). Each bungalow/room has a private bathroom with toilet and shower with hot and cold water. Each bungalow also has a private patio. Each room/ bungalow has two double beds and can be occupied by 2-4 people.

About the Area
There is a direct train going from Colombo to Batticoloa on the east coast. This train stops in Polonnaruwa. Our house is very close to all the major tourist attractions in Polonnaruwa (cycle-sistance) to the ruins, to the museum, to the canal where people bathe and wash their clothes. Bicycles can be rented on daily basis for 3 dollars a day.
If you come you must love the nature. There is no night entertainment in Polonnaruwa, only the sound of the birds, the frogs, the monkeys, all depending on the season.

Great place to relax and sit on the common terrace while watching many animals and birds passing by - really a little paradise. Staff nicer than nice and happy to assist with almost everything.

Top! Au calme, petits (quoique...) bungalows propres, repas abordables, Ajith est super accueillant et très sympa.
