Great studio room set up right after milepost (MP) 6. The room is perfect for a couple, small family, or anyone that wants to get away for a while. Only 1 block from the sound, so bring your fishing poles and enjoy the dock/boat launch that’s only two blocks from the residence. On the opposite side of us, there is public beach access and the famous Avalon Pier. You’re right in the middle of OBX, with a plethora of shopping, restaurants, and activities for all ages within minutes of us.
A portion of the lower-level of the home is for rent with its own private entrance. It includes a private bedroom with a king-sized bed, smart TV (not pictured), a full bathroom, and a kitchenette. Additionally, there is a back patio and fenced-in backyard. Dog-friendly home! It’s a great spot to watch the stars, walk to the end of the street (4-5 houses away) and watch the sunset over the bay. The bike path is at the end of our street and are within of many scenic stops. There is a public sound access/picnic/fishing area at the end of the block; and the boat ramp is down one block from there.

About the Area
Kill Devil Hills is an Outer Banks beach town located between Kitty Hawk and Nags Head (Mileposts 5 - 9) in Dare County. Kill Devil Hills is home to the Wright Brothers Monument and many local shops and restaurants. Beach accesses with parking are conveniently located throughout the town of Kill Devil Hills.
The oldest township in the Outer Banks, Kill Devil Hills is the center of the Outer Banks. The unique name comes from the band of rum found during the colonial period, from shipwrecks, said to be strong enough to “kill the devil”. Kill Devil Hill is the site of the Memorial Pylon, commemorating the flights of 1903, when Orville and Wilbur Wright flew the first plane. The Wright Brothers National Memorial is located in this popular vacation spot, along with a wide variety of restaurants, shopping, ample public beach accesses, and night life.
